You've just proven a point: we are being lied to about the whole thing, as usual, by our own government. Now, how far are you willing to trust your future to them?
Whether by incompetence or amazing covert ability (actually, i don't give govmt that much credit..), any reason for being in Iraq is supect.
Now the Saudis are trying to bail Bush out, but the reality is that we need to break our dependence on foreign oil.
That does not mean electric motors: Think of how kickass a hydrogen buring hemi would be! Complete combustion every time....and all that comes out the back is steam.

Now, how far are you willing to trust your future to them?
I trust no one with my future except myself, I don't expect the Government to look after me, my future is what I make of it, my obligations to Government are required by law and I can accept that fact.
Dependance on foreign oil?, I believe that we only import 10% of our requirements from the Middle east, the rest comes from domestic production, North Sea, Mexico and Canada.
The Governments Job is to lead us, not Control us as the Liberal wacko's would like to have it.
We're in a mess in Iraq, but how do we get out, those people maybe need to controlled by a Dick-Tator to think for them. They have a great opportunity to become a Democratic Nation and all they want is Chaos and street fighting, no different than a wild pack of dingo's...extremists to the extreme with no consideration for a better life or perhaps they just don't want anything different?
I say make a new nation, build a wall around the oil fields call it the Republic of Bush, you want in, you want a job, you want medical care, education and a better life come through the gate. If you want that Camel shit and date pit life, haul your tent and your shit out to the dessert and stay there.
Make it a Republic of the USA, we buy the oil on the open market like any other nation and screw OPEC and France too!

Great, Don, except that right now these people have no conception of or will to fight for a Democracy. What they might go for is personal economic power.
As for who is controlling whom, Liberal or Conservative, all Politicians are lawyers, and their main job is to pass laws...or they are out of business..think about that...

Heres a little story from my history teacher who fought in vietnam and his still active in the navy. Supposedly Kerry was a hero and got all sorts of medals, two purple hearts, bronze star etc..... well when he got back to the u.s. he was a protestor to the war. He was the one who took all of his precious medals and honors and threw them over the fence at the white house. turns out they weren't his medals. now that he is running for president the real medals are in a box hanging on his wall. I hope all of the veterans out there know just how much of a hero kerry is.

I never knew this was such a right wing board!!! I love it.
I am sick of the radical left (not saying democrats because a true democrat resembles FDR or JFK, now those guys would not take shit from anyone!!) Anyway, I am voting for bush for the second time in november mostly because of one thing: He truly believes that what he is doing is right and does not care about the political consequences of policy. Sure, he is trying to get reelected, but he will not abandon his convictions to do it. It would have been easier to just pull out of Iraq when it got unpopular, but he believes it is the right thing to do and he sticks to it.
I cannot say for sure that Iraq is right or wrong, but at some point, I have to trust that the President of the United States knows better than any of us how to proceed. If he gets voted out, we will have no choice but to trust the next guy. The point is, We are there in Iraq, and whether people agree with it or not, it's time to shut up and support your troops and your president.
Democracy does not work if the entire population has to agree on every foreign and domestic policy issue. Democracy works when we trust the officials that we elected to do the right thing. If they don't, vote them out.
and you have to love Cheney. A member of the legislative branch hamstrings him and then tries to buddy up to him at a photo shoot, and he tells the guy to go F@#! himself!!! That's pretty much what any of us would have done. Good for you Dickey boy, way to show some balls.
