I've got some racing buckets I'm installing in the 330.
Looking at the nhra rule book it specifies "...all bolts must go into frame or cross braces..."
Frame of the seat or car?
Theres no frame or cross braces anywhere near where the seat mounts, so I'm hoping it's seat.

I believe it was the car. Due to a roll over issue and it would keep your butt in the seat and the seat to the floor. I guess some dumb fat-ass F**d driver only bolted to the floor boards and when his car fell apart and flipped, his fat ass ripped the bolts out of the floor boards. Same thing with the battery mounted in the trunk. You may have to weld in some flat bar across from the frame rail. (had to with Don's battery in the trunk).

I got the battery bolted through the frame.
There is no frame, anywhere near the seat mounts.
Will angle iron work?(welded underneath?)

I believe so, as long as at least one end is connected to some type of frame. Do you have a roll cage? If so, does it come down somewhere near the seat (under the car) that you could run some steal from it to the seat bolts?

Roll cage? for this old tub?..LOL
No not yet. I figure if it's fast enough for one, I'll put it in. If not fast(and has a cage), I'll look like a poser.
In any case, I found some channel I'll use. I'll run it out to the outer frame.
I think that will work.

I found a better solution. I had planned on putting sub fram connectors in, but hadn't yet. Got some 2 x 3 box, and welded them in this evening. They run right under the middle of the seat. I'll use the channel to run braces out to the where the seat bolts go through, and it's done. Man I'm getting sick of welding
