Im in the planning stages of building a 360. I plan on using a set of cleaned up magnum heads wich have a 59cc Closed combustion chamber and a set of zero Decked flat top pistons.
My problem is using a 4.180 bore gasket with a compressed hieght of .039" gives me a compression ratio of almost 12.5:1
I know a properly set up quench motor will run on pump gas with more compression but I dont see that much working.
How can I get compression down but keep my quench were it should be ?

The best way is with a set Diamond dish pistons which will reduce the compression ratio and still maintain some quench. We refer to these pistons as the "UPS Pistons Design" and they were actually designed for UPS trucks to prevent detonation.
That's expensive and time consuming..the easy way.... A set of thicker Cometic head gaskets, you'll lose some of the quench property's but just set the compression at 9.0 to 9.2 for premium and about 8.5 for regular and curve the distributor to bring the advance in a bit later to prevent detonation.
Simple quick and cheap....
Gaskets....about $140-180 (depending on thickness) Distributor curve.......$69.00
You could get away with under $250 and have a sweet running motor.
