Rebuilding my 440(hp) 375hp 1969/70 Block from my Challenger as part of the resto. Was told to go Forged Pistons, which I agree. Nowwwww what brand? I'm not the best with 'me engines so bare with me. It needs a bloody good clean, a .030 bore and thats as far as I've got. I'm not doing this engine work, my mechanics will be, but what you lads say will be passed on to them. Apart from pistons what else will I need to change/buy? Cam, Rings? I'm wanting to put the muscle back into this car, not looking for 500+hp but basically making the resto 100% the car is undergoing a full bare metal resto and the engine is on the cards next. The trans has been sent to a pro shop to get cleaned up inside and out, so that part has been taken care of. With Headers/exhaust and the new parts installed my max hp I'd want would be 425hp 400-415hp would be nice, everyone likes a few extra horsies to play with. This engine MUST NOT be built for strip/bracket racing as I'll be driving it 4-5 times a week and I want to be able to floor the go pedel when I want without thinking it's hurting the engine so-to-speak. It's going to be a daily driver with bite when I want it. I heard Keith Black Pistons are shit, so I don't want them. Money is no object for this car, only the best as I'll only be doing this once so I'm doing it right. If I'm shit broke afterwards at least my Mopar runs well. lol!! ;D Any help is appreciated!!

The piston of choice in our shop is Diamond
1. They're Mopar people
2. They stock most combinations on the shelf so you don't have to pay for Custom Pistons all the time.
3.Excellent delivery, within 2 days on stock forgings.
4. Never had a piston failure.
We have a choice, we can buy JE, Ross or Diamond, these are the reasons why we always use Diamond.
We had a design issue with one set, they made an error in the dome, they shipped another set in 24 hours No Charge and paid us In Full for our labor to pull out the old ones and re-install the correct pistons, no questions asked.
That Gentlemen is SERVICE!
Also, although not that important....they do have the best pricing in the industry on Mopar pistons.
You can order direct, ask for Ron he's our Mopar man at the factory and he'll give you racer net, order from us and we can give you a better deal.

Awesome thanks Don, Diamond sound like the plan, if there good for you there great for me. I see Manciniracing stock these, I guess there called Diamond Racing?
For a .030 bore on a 440 is there ONLY 1 size piston for my application? And what would be better for my "daily driver" dome or flat top?
So once I've decided on the choice of piston, which will be Diamond, and I know exactly what size etc could you give me a hand oin getting them down here? ;D
