I am looking at buying a reverse pattern manual valve body with low band apply for my big block Dakota project. I was looking at A&A or Grinner but am up to suggestions. My question is what kind of precautions should be used when using one on the street as this is where this truck will live most of its life? Is it still neccesary to stay out of first as much as possible?? Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks

As long as it has the low band apply feature I don't think you have any trouble with it. If you pull up along some little rice burner and need to show them whos boss don't do any kind of smoke show in first gear regardless of if it has low band apply.
