I have a 1972 340 long block Engine I am interested in rebuilding. I would like to go with a roller cam and lifters. What the best or easiest, route to go? I am currently running a Comp 280 and I like the power range of this cam. I would appreciate your advice.

I think to get a best possible answer, you need to tell us more about your combo.
What car(weight) gears, stall, tires, fuel system, budget, ect.

I believe I purchased a fiberglass six pack lid from you last year....ebay item. Is that correct?
Are you planning on being at Mission Raceway at the end of July?
The smallblock 340 I want to roll is going into my 72 Challenger Street/Strip car. It's 3600 LBS, 360 crate shortblock,3.55 shur grip gears, 3000 stall, 26 inch tall Comp T/A drag radials, 750 demon carb, mildly ported edelbrock heads, RPM intake, doug's headers, 727 auto. FBO ignition. Mallory 140 electric fuel pump. Ran 12.69 @ 106 MPH last year at Bremerton Raceway on a cool October morning.
As far as budget.....I don't want to pay $800-900 for the cranes cams retro fit setup. I have heard of guys using stock MP roller lifters by grinding the oil valley for clearance.

Did you klnow that the advantage of a roller cam doesn't factor in until after about 6500 RPM?
You do know about the oil galley lifter problems on the 340's right?
Did you know that you will make more HP and tork from a solid lifter Racer Brown Cam than you will from that roller?
Before considering a roller cam check out Schubeck Racing's new Composite lifters, all the so called benifits of a roller with out the chronic and catastrophic failers of a roller.
