I have a set of leaf springs on the back of my 70 Challenger that have been there since I bought it 3 years ago. They are newer springs and I like them, but I am having trouble finding the specs on them. They have the part number 3400043 and they look identical to each other with 5 full springs and one 1/2 spring facing forward.
I would like to see if anyone can determine the manufacturer and the load rating of these springs.
Reference: Mopar springs are numbered somewhat similar to the above numbers but the ones that I found are not a match. Thanks

my 70-71 parts book doesn`t list that # & it would seem that you have 2 left side springs in the car , as the odd # sare always for the left side of the car you should have 340044 or 42 for the right side to make a matched set

HMMMM, if this is true, I wonder if it will make a difference since it is only a 340/727 car. It handles well and grabs well too.
I read a thread last week on another board that a guy had a pair of the same exact springs and he too could not find them in the parts books. Thanks for the reply. Dave

I have the same springs in my 69 barracuda, but it was 383 formula s car. Now it has a very well built 360 with a 727 ;D
