I was wondering what you guys thought would be better ladder bars with coil overs or a 4 link for a mainly street driven 451 long wheel base Dakota. This truck will see the track about 4 times a year and am hopping for mid to low 12's in the 1/4 mile. My other options was to use caltracks or modified SS Springs.
PS still working on chassis no motor built yet:(

If it where me spending the money I'd go with a four- link. I don't think the price is that much more for it and if you want to make more power in the future your all ready their.

I agree with atoetly, but I think that you will get better handling on the street with the ladder bar setup. If you are only seeing the track 3-4 times a year, handling will be more of a concern than straight line.

Ladder bars with leafs & floaters will work best , coil over have no lateral stability & you need to run a panhard bar to retain lateral stability , , both will work Alston , Strange , Mark Williams, Art morrison & Comp Engineering all make ladder bar / floater systems , I have used Alsot, MW & Strange personally
