Seems like other people are getting a lot better performance from thier CalTracs then I am. I had a snubber and got 1.8's even some 1.7's. Took off the snubber and went to Caltracs results were 1.9's and some 1.8's. I set the preload per instructions, just lightly touching the spring. Any suggestions? 440, 10.5cr, ported iron heads, 727, 850 Holley, Drag radials. 12.1 @ 117 typical. THX

Hi Terryckl
Have you tried to call Caltrac, every car I've seen with them have had a good drop in their 60' times ~ .1 - .2 of a seconds. They sing the praises of them. Most had SS springs under car already. I have them for when I can't seem to drop the 60' times anymore. Best of luck...

So there must be some reason, cars don't slow down unless something changes.
Is it slipping the tires? Is it bogging the motor down?
What's happening?

I have question about CalTrac tration bar? How much it helps in real life? Anyone tested? I want to know real times...without CalTrac traction bars and with CalTrack traction bars. Also 60feet times? Do this 340 dollars goes in right place? Building my car 70% street and 30% strip

I think it would be fair to say that a CalTrac system is like adding about 2" of tire.
We have CalTracs for A and B Body's on sale for February for $319.00.
