I don't know if this is the right forum or not but my question is if the kickdown rod needs to lenthened for my application.
Application: Mild rebuild on a 318 in a 72 B body. Using a stock 71 340 manifold and a 72 340 rebuilt TQ (Sorry it's not a demon!). I have the original 1 piece 2BBl linkage and I was wondering if it will work with the 4Bbl intake combo I am trying.

I figured that since the 318/340/360 are the same height that there should not be a big difference between the kickdown lengths. The 340 intake sits about 1/2" higher than the scock 2BBl manifold. I think that there is enough play in the linkage to get what i need. I just wondered if the 340 kickdown was a different setup or part number or something like that.
