I seen it on way to many boards the floor boards riped out of cars. No way did the drive not get hurt. Its time that NHRA make it mandantory that the stock drum in a 727 be replace with an after market unit. Either steel or aluminum the stock piece just won't work. I don't care if you have lowband apply v/b or not this is a safety deal and NHRA really needs to step up to the plate on this and make a decision on what ET they need replacment to an after market unit. Just my opinion.

At minimum, they should mandate a scatter blanket below one time and then mandate the stronger drum, below another time.

They seem to be more interested in adding Data Loggers in S/Pro and chasing Pro guy's off the track because their belts are 2 days out of date.
NHRA will always give in to the whinners, Data Loggers, Electronics in S/Street, they will only mandate a safety issue if the Insurance Company's demand it...guess what ...your car blows up and removes your right leg....Mechanical failures are not covered by track insurance.
