I have a set of 4.100" TRW forged domed pistons that I want to have some of the dome machined off to reduce final compression to a more street friendly ±9.4:1. What would be a safe remaining thickness to retain? I may not need to take any off based on head CCs, gasket thickness, etc but just in case. thanks

Better off leaving them alone and opening up the combustion chamber and/or thicker head gaskets. If that piston top get too thin you may run the risk of it becomming warped or melting from the temps.
