Wanted to run this by the experts. Haven't been around for a while. Lost my $#@^ password. Anyway, I pick up a slight jerking condition around 25-35 in high gear. Give it a little throttle and it goes away. Ok at hiway speeds, no jerking or surging. Equipment: 65 Satellite Standard MP 472 crate engine. No mods except new MP 2X4 intake. Initial timing 18* w/all in by 2000 rpm to 32*total. Vac advance disconnected. Carbs 2- stock Carter AVS 625 cfm carbs. (Progressive) 4 Speed manual w/ 3:55 gear. Any thoughts appreciated. Buddy

sounds lean in the cruise circuit. Try swapping in smaller metering rods.

Thanks Fastback, That seems to have fixed it. Went from .062 to .060 on that step. Only did one carb though. Wonder if I ought to do the other one? Thanks Again, Buddy

No problem, If it has a progressive linkage I'd just leave the second carb alone. Its not being used during cruise anyways.
