I think that I kow the answer but I want to pass it by all of you first.
Timing is set at 9º BTDC at idle and max is 35º BTDC at 2,000 RPM. When the engine is cold, she runs great. Once it reaches operating temps, she pings real bad until about 2,200 RPM.
I adjusted the timing back to the point where she won't ping, but she also runs like a dog at that point. I'm thinking that I've got the timing right and that I need to drop down a heat range or two on the spark plugs. What do you think?
The carb is a stock Speed Demon 750 Vac Secondary with electric choke.
