I recently had a distributer set up by a local speed shop
now when I start the car I have total advance at idle you can actualy hear it advance when you spin the distributer with your hand (out of the engine) is this going to be a problem Nats are this week need some help

How does the car run with it , most want more advance at idle & total advance around 36-38*

Don good to hear from you found the problem was not timing it was pushrod length came up with a good combination on the cheap ford 460 stock push rods worked great just didn't let the ol girl know where they came from. Got my local speed shop to warrenty the edlebrock got a new 850 demon havent put it on though currently running a 750 holley duel pump works real good and my wife realy enjoys having the demon in the bedroom. ran Saturday at Indy had an eighth mile time of 8.11
