I have a 79 Dodge Aspen R/T with a .030 360 in it 9.5:1-10:1 compression 292 duration .495 lift mech cam 236 duration at @.050 1.6 Crane roller rockers 2.02 X heads with a lot of porting and 2.055 Chevy Manley Pro flow valves. Mopar M-1 single plane intake, also ported 650 Mighty Demon carb MSD billet adjustable advance distributor #8534 MSD 6AL box 727 with full manual shift valve body a 10" 3400rpm converter 4:10 gears 27" tall 275/60-15 BFGoodrich Comp Drag radials With this cam I need about 22-24 dgrees of initial advance and about 35-38 total. The biggest stop bushing that came with the distributor allows an 18 degree difference. So if I start with 24 of initial advance I end up with 42 degrees total (too much) at 3000rpm. I talked to the MSD techs on their forums and they said the 18 is the biggest bushing they have. Is there some where else I could get a 13-14 degree stop bushing?
Also, what do you think this car will do in the 1/4 mile?

We don't sell larger bushing but we do make them, each one is hand massaged to get the timing events correct.
It would be nice to be able to offer a bushing kit but here's the problem, we make a bushing for a distributor and its perfect at 22/35, take the same bushing and install it in another identical distributor and it comes in at 22/38?
The machining on the MSD is not perfect enough to risk detonation of someones motor by supplying a bushing we can't guarrantee.
Send in your distributor and for $69.00 we build you a bushing to your spec of 22/35, phase it and set the advance rate curve correctly, turn around time is 2 days right now.
The rest of your combo looks very good and the car should respond well
Your not sure about the compression ratio?.....If it's up in the 10's it'll run better with that size intake valve, if it won't 60' let me know and I'll give you some tricks to move the tork band lower.
I have reservations about that 2.05 intake valve, cam and compression ratio combination, I just don't think your going to be able to maintain the velocity needed to build good tork.
Give it a try and then we'll work on that tune up to try and get it to build more tork at the convertor stall.
Once you get it down the track give me the MPH off you time slip and the engine RPM and we'll do some calculations.

I see that your now selling larger stop bushing kits for the MSD distributors, but I don`t see where to buy them on the site.
