What if I need to replace my pick-up coil in my stage II FBO distributor?I see the plate is welded. Is it critical where it is positioned before it's welded?

Yes it is critical. We reccommend that if you should have a pick-up coil failure you return it to us for replacement and re-phasing.
We only charge for the parts and return freight.
Once we set up the gap and phase it correctly the chances of a failure are slim to none, every coil is tested and replaced if it doesn't meet spec. Average life of a pick-up coil is 200,000 miles so it's really a non-issue. We've had 1-2 failures in 4 years and several thousand units.
