The motor is a 1969 casting 340 thats bored .040 over and fitted with forged Diamond pistons with Speed pro file fit rings. Calculated comp at 9.56 to 1 so good with available gas. Eagle h-beam rods on a new MP forged stock length crank with clevite 77 bearings throughout. Melling hi vol oil pump, ported J heads with 2.02 and 1.60 valves given a 3 angle valve job, port matched to an Eddy Air Gap intake with a Holley 750 dp, Carter fuel pump, and K&N filter. TTI headers and complete exhaust system with the beautiful rectangular exhaust tips as well. MSD 6A and billet distributor with MSD matching wires, (tho I just bought a MSD 6 AL for the rev limiter) Racer Brown SSH-25 cam, Double roller gears and chain and comp cams pro magnum roller rockers. Scat dampener, March underdrive pulleys, and powermaster 75 amp alternator. A pair of Spal 16" fans in a push pull setup with a relay triggered by a thermostat keep the motor cool. As of this date, I have only 35 miles on this motor and it is very strong so far, further tuning will get whatever I am leaving on the table at this time.

Thanks Don, I spent a lot of extra time stripping and repainting the engine bay and sandblasting/repainting the front suspension pieces and adding new energy suspension polyurethane bushings etc throughout. I always wanted a clean/tight hot rod and now I've got one. Now to find someone with a chassis dyno around here and also put my 3.91 rear gears into the 8.75 to replace the highway 3.23s. Bruce ;D
